Mission
Our mission is to cultivate and educate students, academic professionals, and other stakeholders as it relates to the needs of children with developmental disabilities.

Vision
At Rosebud's Academy, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow. Our program is designed to meet the needs of each child, and to support their social, communication, and cognitive development. We believe that our commitment to excellence will make a lasting impact on the lives of our students and their families.

Statement of Faith
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament are the inerrant, inspired, and infallible Word of God. God’s Word is the final authority for faith and life.We believe there is only one God, and He has chosen to reveal Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

About Our Founder
My name is Rosetta Hicks and I am the founder of Rosebud’s Academy. I am a child of God, an effective leader, inspiring innovator, and cooperative communicator. My faith impacts every aspect of my life. I try to be an example everyday and treat people as I would want to be treated. I know that being a Christian has truly made me into the leader that I am today. Being a Christian is my way of life, because of my relationship with God, I am a better person. I believe and live by the instructions given to believers from Matthew 22:36-39(36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.) I provide thoughtful leadership and tools to teachers and communicate with parents to form cooperative relationships. I am fully invested in helping students reach their individual goals. Driven to meet the special needs of students in the community. I have over 10 years of school administration experience. I have also worked closely with students and families for more than 10 years as a speech therapist. I earned a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Administration and Services and a bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Southern Illinois University. I have completed the required coursework for my terminal degree as an Educational Specialist in the area of K-12 Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
